Every year you have to wait for a Salman Khan film to make rich profits at the box office. Eid is thus one of the most awaited festival of India, Bollywood wise. Because his films assure a few things; hefty box office gains and some smashing of records. We are pretty sure Sultan will be no different and we also have an inkling what they could be. Here are our predictions..
Highest opening day ever
Despite two releases last year, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman Khan couldn’t break Happy New Year’s record of making maximum money on its first day. It had made a staggering 44.97 cr but Sultan could trump that and become the highest opening day earner. PRDP had made 40. 35 cr on Day 1 and Sultan has all the trappings to defeat HNY.
Highest earning sports based film
The genre of sports in Bollywood isn’t too successful. Only a handful of films have managed to make a mark at the box office and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is one of the biggest grossers in this theme. All that could change after July 6 when Sultan releases. It has the winning combo of Salman Khan and a sport which has hardly been explored in Hindi films, wrestling. It could become the highest grossing sports film ever.
Salman Khan’s biggest opener
Till now, Salman’s biggest opener was his last Diwali release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It earned a whopping 40. 35 cr on its first day. But Sultan is poised to earn more and by doing so might also become the Highest opener for Salman Khan. Now, that’s won’t be a surprise since the film looks really good and is unlike any other Salman Khan film.
Salman Khan’s 10th 100 crore film
A 100 crore is the least that you expect from a Salman Khan film. Achieving that milestone is a cakewalk for him ever since his career got a new lease of life with Wanted in 2009. Sultan will be his 10th 100 crore film… highest by any actor.
Anushka Sharma’s biggest hit
Anushka Sharma has seen a lot of success but nothing as unprecedented as P.K. It is still the highest grossing film at the box office and is unbeatable at this point. Bajrangi Bhaijaan came very close to be the second on that list. We have a feeling with Sultan, Anushka will get yet another blockbuster which will trump P.K. That will be her biggest blockbuster ever.
