BollywoodLife has some EXCLUSIVE news on Mr Perfectionist Khan…
Aamir Khan is all set to essay the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat in his upcoming film Dangal. And we hear that if things fall in place the next big role AK will portray is that of India’s first astronaut Rakesh Sharma. Yes, we bet that fans of the actor are super thrilled to hear that one. Bollywood is currently smitten by biopics and their stupendous success at the box office only makes them more bankable. But Aamir is forever up for challenges so we bet that it wasn’t the idea of playing it safe by doing a film on real life personality but the idea of venturing it into SPACE that isn’t explored by Bollywood-wallahs as yet.
A source told BollywoodLife that the actor is currently busy with Dangal and getting ready for its promotions and release but he has finalised his next venture too. Our source said, “Aamir will play Rakesh Sharma in his next film. He is all set to move from playing a pehalwan to now going out to the space.”
For those of you who do not know about Sharma, he is the first Indian Air Force pilot to become a cosmonaut. Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian to be a part of space programme by India’s ISRO and Russia’s Soviet Intercosmos. During a television conference from space with Moscow officials and Indira Gandhi, the then Indian Prime Minister, Sharma had won the hearts of his countrymen by giving a patriotic response to Indira Gandhi’s question. When Sharma was asked how India looked from the space, Sharma had responded and said, “Saare Jahan Se Achcha” in response.
Now we know why Aamir has given his nod for this project. Isn’t that a real life moment that lends itself perfectly to a Bollywood script? Come right back for more Bollywood scoops and gossip
