If you remember, BollywoodLife had EXCLUSIVELY revealed that Kangana Ranaut found a good friend in Ranbir Kapoor, when she was going through a tough time in her legal battle with Hrithik Roshan. The duo became best of buddies and used to chat and meet up whenever they could. However yesterday, stories suggesting that the Kapoor lad was dating the Rangoon actress, surfaced all over the internet. Last evening, their pairing was trending on Twitter, #nowranbirkangana. It was the top Twitter trend for a brief while.

And this has apparently miffed Ranbir Kapoor. A source close to RK revealed, “He is wondering where these rumours originated as there is no truth to it. Ranbir, who is shooting for Jagga Jasoos in Mumbai, since he has come back from Morocco, is in a state of shock over the spate of stories that have sprung out of nowhere in the last few months. He is upset that people are taking advantage of the fact that he doesn’t issue clarifications. There is no truth in the stories of Ranbir and Kangana’s affair, yet in a very systematic manner this is being spread in media. He knows who is behind these rumours and if this continues, he is considering issuing a strong denial this time.”

BollywoodLife even tried to get in touch with Kangana’s sister Rangoli for a quote about these reports, however we didn’t get a revert till the time of this story. With Ranbir set to make a statement, it would be quite interesting to hear what he has to say.
