By now, all of you must be aware of singer Arijit Singh's tryst with Salman Khan over a song titled 'Jag Ghoomeya' from the upcoming film Sultan. After Arijit Singh got 'replaced' by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to sing the song, Arijit Singh took to social networking site and wrote an open letter, in which he, besides apologising to Salman Khan, also 'expressed his desire' to work with him.
But, when the final song got released in the album that had Rahat Fateh Ali singing it, rumors started floating around that the said track was dropped at Salman Khan's insistence. That's why, Salman Khan, at a recent event, clarified all the rumors by stating that the decision about the song was taken by the film's producers. He added that, while in every film, there are many singers who get replaced due to the directors and producers decision about the voice best suited for the film. He also mentioned that the song was also sung by him and was rejected. Salman Khan, while pointing out at Arijit Singh's post (open letter), said that one's intentions of writing (such posts) could be understood.
Besides Salman Khan, Sultan also stars Anushka Sharma as his onscreen ladylove. While the film is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it's being produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film is being readied for an Eid release this year.
