Salman Khan has more often than not found himself at the receiving end of flak generated by misinterpreted comments. Well it seems like the actor has landed in a soup yet again with social networking sites going into a tizzy after Salman Khan's comments on feeling like a 'raped woman' went viral.
Apparently, Salman Khan who was doing group interviews for his forthcoming film Sultan went on to answer a question on the gruelling schedule for the film. In response to one query about how hard was it shooting for the film, Salman unintentionally blurted out, "It is like the most difficult thing. When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out."
Though the actor immediately caught the faux pas and tried making amends saying, "I couldn't walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn't stop." The damage was however already done and here are a few Twitter users who felt the actor's comments were in really bad taste:
@beena_jon: "Did #SalmanKhan Just Compare Himself To A Raped Woman? The Man Has Completely Lost It"
@UnSubtleDesi: "Bollywood has an opinion on everything. Just not on the sick insensitivity of one of their own.. @BeingSalmanKhan"
@MurgMakhaniRox: "When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. HORRIBLE WORDS!! #Sultan"
@17shahira: "Fans claim Salman's quote was a metaphor. Please stop yourself. It was the most disgusting "metaphor". Stop defending his stupidities."
@Indialaws: "Salman Khan should keep his mouth zipped. Each time he opens it he puts his foot into it. Pathetic rape analogy."
@DhruvDeshpunde: "Salman Khan compared his shooting schedule to what a "raped woman" feels like. Is that worse than Lata-Sachin jokes, Bollywood?"
@varunvish87: "Wow..@BeingSalmanKhan compared his shooting schedule for #Sultan to him feeling like a raped woman...is he for real?? #ridiculous #epicfail"
@threeinchfooll: "I know Salman Khan has fans. But if his female fans are ok with his "I felt like a raped woman" then I've just lost faith in the world."
@ananya1281: "So Salman compares a physically demanding shoot to a woman getting raped! #beingmoron #SalmanKhan #Sultanshoot"
@mallikataneja: @BeingSalmanKhan don't know if you know this but rape is not what they show in Hindi films. You owe an apology to for your comment. #salman"
As for the film, Sultan that is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar features Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma. Produced by Yash Raj Films, Sultan is slated to release this Eid.
