Naagin's tremendous TRPs proved that the fascination for the unknown and mystical is huge in the country. Will Kavach and Nagarjuna manage to fill in the void
We have Nagarjuna and Kavach but we wonder if any of them will touch Naagin’s TRPs…
The finale episode of Naagin concluded last night and viewers were slightly disappointed. After the hype, we were expecting something really full of suspense and thrills but the episode failed to deliver that. It can be forgiven considering how it has fared throughout the season. Post Naagin, we know have Kavach on air from June 11. Projected as a supernatural flick, Kavach is more in the horror genre with Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya and Maheck Chahal in the lead. It occupies the same slot as Naagin and is from the same production house. Keeping in mind these factors, we can expect Kavach to get a good opening. Moreover, it has the theme of a married woman trying to save her husband. It is a tried and tested formula for success.
Nagarjuna on Life Ok has finished a week and the TRPs are not out so far. Those who have seen the show are intrigued by it. It has a good scale, special effects and a cast as well. However, the plot is slightly convoluted and viewers will need time to grasp it. Projected as a supernatural-mythological thriller, it is unlike anything we have seen before.
We feel that Kavach will get good TRPs in the first week but the show might not be as suitable for family audiences (read small children) as Naagin. So, which show will you watch now? Let us know with your comments…
